Our K-1 Visa petition has currently been either not approved or denied.
We used [non-attorney Visa Service].
Although I have nothing in writing, I was told by my crying fiance, that they said the reason was because our relationship was not valid or something like that.
I did everything I was supposed to, coached by [non-attorney].
We e-mailed, snail mailed, called each other, and chatted online with each other for 7 years. I went over there to meet her last January. I then proposed to her.
I am confused????
Can you help in any way?
If this gets denied, I am going over to marry her soon. Then, I will need help with the K-3 Spousal Visa ....
Thank you kindly.

Dear Allan,
Thanks for the quick response! We both have never been married. Affidavit of Support is fine. I have been over there in the last two years. All paperwork was professionally prepared by [non-attorney Visa Service]. We submitted letters and e-mails from our communications over the last 7 years, as recommended by [non-attorney]. We even submitted our engagement announcement.
All I know is that all was fine until the interview, when she called me crying from her cell phone saying that she was denied. She said that the reason that they gave her, was that I had only been over there once in the last [2] years. I was only over there once because of finances, and, it isn't easy to get away for two weeks (especially when you don't have that much vacation timebuilt up ) when you work for corporate America. I really didn't think that this would ever be feasible ( it seems so overwhelming when you start out with all the paperwork ) We both agreed that she should complete here B.A. in the Phils to save on education costs. We both wanted, since we had plenty of time, to get to know one another better by snail mailing, e-mailing, calling, and chatting online. We progressed slowly to make sure.
Then, I went over there ( after her graduation from college ), and I knew she was the one. 41 years and never married, but I knew that this was the one. I love her personality!!!!!! So, I proposed to her, came back, saw [non-attorney Visa Service's] website ( which if I am not mistaking says that he never had one turned down in 16 years of doing this-------bull!!!!!! ) And, that he could do better than Immigration Attorneys. Obviously not!!!!!!
Like an idiot ( especially coming from a state where we do almost everything on a contract------- (. . . in the State of Wisconsin - so you would think that I would know better ) I didn't sign a contract. But, regardless, he did do most of what he promised. I think he promises a little more than what he advertises on his website . . . .
I feel that the decision was ludicrous, and so does [non-attorney], who claims to have done over 4,000 of these!!! It is like we are being penalized for showing our committment to each other for so long!!! I know of guys ( I was in the U.S. Marine Corps for 11 years ) who hit the town on a weekend, or went over there for two weeks, met a girl, proposed to her, came back here, got her here no problem! Or, mail order bride. I met her initially via a pen-pal ( not mail order bride service )
[Non-attorney] did say that one just previous to mine got denied as well. He said that they are tightening the screws in Manila ( making it harder ) I was never told of a 40% failure rate!!! If I knew that, we would have went the Spousal Visa route to begin with!
Now, if I have to start all over again with the spousal route, it will be like starting all over again period ( and the expenses will be much more than what I have already spent!!!!!!! ) . . . .
I will keep you informed. If you think that you can help in any way with our current Fiance VISA, please let me know. . . .
Thank you for your time!!!!!!!
Sincerely,
