Dear Sir,

I have a special case, which I can not find any solutions to. I will tell you my whole story as to how I got to this matter, I only hope that you can help me. If there is more info that you need please let me know.

My name is Irene. I am married to an American Citizen who serves the United States Military honorably. We have a son who is 2 years old, I love them both with all my heart.

I was born in Juarez, Mexico . . . At 15 days old I was brought to Texas [illegally]. I was extremely sick . . . . Now that I'm finding out about the 10 year ban, well I am afraid that if my husband gets sent to live in the U.S., I will get deported back to Mexico. I've talked to lawyers and many of them have treated me very rudely. All most as if I wasn't anybody. I realize that I've broken the law, but I had no choice in the matter. I was only 15 days old...

Currently I reside in England with my husband and my son. I got here by commercial flight with a Mexican passport. And the only reason I wasn't detained when I left was because my name was on his orders to come here and it seems that they just looked at the piece of paper and shooed us out of the way. I was also 5 months pregnant. My Mexican passport has expired, but the visa stamp has not.

We got married . . . and next month will be our 3rd anniversary.

You were in contact with my husband not too long ago. I am very sorry I did not get in touch with your office until now. The last lawyer I talked to completely scared me with the 10 year ban. Up until now I just gotten my guts back up to email you back. I apologize for that.

I was also wondering, according to some info I found by researching around the internet, I found out that in order to get back into the U.S. legally, I have to return to Mexico. Since I am not on American soil any more (well an American Base is considered U.S soil to an extent) and though it may not be my country of birth, do I have to return to Mexico?

Is there anyway that you can help me? I love my husband and my son very much. I do not want to be separated from them. They are my whole life. Is there any other info that you need me to provide? The only reason I emailed you in response to my husbands email was because he doesn't understand the frustration I am going through. Is there any way out? Your website seems very nice and judging by the testimonials on your web page, you seem like decent people who have dealt with many cases.

Sincerely,
Irene [Spouse]
