Tami,
Thank you so much. We are approved and couldn't have done this
successfully without your help. [Fiancee's] interview went very
smoothly and she sends you a special thanks as well. Somehow her
nervousness turned to confidence and she believes that was a key
factor. As she put it, she looked the interviewing officer "eye
to eye" and he didn't ask very many questions. She arrived at the
embassy at 6 a.m. and was done by 5 p.m. There were a lot of people
there already by 6. She saw 3 officials while there. 1 did her
fingerprinting, 1 checked her documents, and the last was an American
gent who questioned her and gave her final approval. She did get
questioned concerning her Indo citizenship but when she told the
officer that she had never been to Indonesia the issue was dropped.
They also examined our folder containing proof of relationship
documents only keeping . . . . They did however look at all we had.
The only questions she was asked concerned my job and if I had a home.
Afterwards, [fiancee] was told the she should receive her visa and
passport in 2 weeks to 1 month. Our plans at this time are to allow
our oldest daughter, to finish the school year there. She'll graduate
on March 26 and the week after I will probably fly there and fly back
with them. That's assuming we are within the allowable time frame for
them coming to the states. I'm sure I'll have a few questions after I
review the AOS information so I'll be in touch. Thanks again Tami. You
have helped make two people very happy here. Regards,
Mike A. from Louisiana
Fiancee from the Philippines
