Sorry for the mass email... but this is simply one occasion when it is
necessary.
In short, C. GOT HER VISA TODAY AND IS ARRIVING IN LOS ANGELES ON
THIS TUESDAY!!!!!
The news truly doesn't get better than this (from my perspective at
least). :-)
Within a couple of weeks she'll have a real live Green Card, and she'll
have permanent resident status to work etc as soon as she arrives at
the airport.
I really want to thank you (yes... you reading this...) for the support
you have given me over the last few months and all you have contributed
to me leading up to this point. Everything has gone incredibly
smoothly from the beginning of this adventure, and you have truly made
a difference in so many ways, giving me support, helping me, giving
advice and offering your heartfelt congratulations. I could have never
done this without you (again, yes... YOU).

While I can't truly speak for C. (I haven't even spoken to her
since the good news!), the "I"s and "me"s in that last paragraph should
really be "we"s and "us"s.
